Shah Rukh Khan’s presence at Arpita Khans wedding reception re-emphasised an old industry saying: 'There are no permanent enemies or friends in the film industry'. Those present at the reception were witness to the warmth between the Khans, down to the time SRK escorted Salman's mother, Salma Khan to the car like she was his own. The affection that one saw between the Khans was reminiscent of the time before the spat.

War of the Khans - Shah Rukh and Farah Khan



Farah and SRK had stopped talking to each other after the alleged delay in starting Happy New Year.  The filmmaker announced Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar. What added fuel to the fire was Shah Rukhs brawl with the choreographer-filmmaker's husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutts party. A patch-up followed with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and Farahs brother, Sajid Khan playing mediators. SRK revived Happy New Year which completed his triology with Farah.

Beauties get catty - Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor

We also heard of a patch-up between Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone at the special screening of Finding Fanny. Arjun Kapoor invited Sonam for the screening where she met Deepika. Sonam apparently had commented on how Deepikas PR had been working overtime. Sonam also commented on Deepikas cleavage issue during the promotions of Khubsoorat, "As long as women dont stop objectifying themselves, people will not stop objectifying them.” Sonam and Deepika started their journeys on the same day. They also had Ranbir Kapoor in common.

Friendship and betrayal - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukerji

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukerji were considered to be best friends till the former was dropped by Shah Rukh Khan in Chalte Chalte and replaced by Rani. That became the bone of contention. Abhishek Bachchans wedding with Aishwarya sealed the chance of any reconciliation. Rani wasnt even invited. Abhishek was the only Bachchan who attended Ravi Chopras funeral.

Table of discontent - Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have not been seen together in films. Reportedly, Akshay got Ajays role edited from one of his films. The ice was broken when Ajay asked Akshay for the title of Son of Sardar. Akshay parted with it and also asked him to attach the promo of Khiladi 786 to it.

Black and white - Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu

It took them 14 years to bury their differences. Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu had a bitter fight during and after the release of Ajnabee. Kareena called the debutante a Kaali Billi. Bipashas alleged affair with Saif during the making of Race added to the animosity. During IIFA awards this year, they patched up. John Abraham, Bipashas then boyfriend, had to bear the brunt of their war since Kareena refused to work with him.

Karan Johar and Kareena have not always been the best of friends. Kareena demanded a high price for Kal Ho Naa Ho and so, Preity Zinta landed the role. They patched up on Koffee with Karan and worked together in many films thereafter. We hear that some growing stress between them led to her exit from Shuddhi.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali worked in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas, but had fell-out later due to his friendship with her former lover, Salman Khan. But Bhansali took the first step and offered her Guzaarish with Hrithik Roshan.

Proteges and protocol - Ram Gopal Varma, Urmila Matondkar and Vivek Oberoi

Ram Gopal Varma gave Vivek Oberoi his break in Company but the actor became too big for his boots resulting in a difference between them. Seven years later, they did Rakhta Charitra. Ramu and Urmila Matondkar worked together in several films too, but later, he started casting other actresses, which created a rift.
